The mission of the D. W. Perkins Bar Association is to be a change agent to improve the plight of the African-American Community and to erase all effects of past and present discrimination. 





In fulfilling our mission, the Association’s objectives are to advance the science of jurisprudence, improve the administration of justice, preserve the independence of the Judiciary of our cities, state and nation; to uphold the honor and integrity of the legal profession; to promote the professional and social intercourse among the members of the American bar and the international bar; to promote legislation that will improve the economic condition of all American citizens regardless of race, sex or creed in their efforts to secure a free and untrammeled use of the franchise guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States; to protect civil and political rights of the citizens and the residents of the several states of the United States.
